Activities report & Action plan

Past, ACTIVITIES’ REPORT, Year 2021-22 & 2022-23:

  • Mridangam, Ghatam, Violin, and Keyboard sessions were held every week on Saturdays and Sundays as part of SSCT’s Monthly Cultural Activity programs, with a good number of students attending regularly.

  • Veena sessions were conducted periodically based on the instructor’s availability and appointments. Bhajan sessions took place every Sunday.

  • To assess student involvement and their behavioral improvements at home and in school, Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) were held periodically. This allowed for regular interaction and feedback from parents about our activities.

  • At the management level, all trustees and governing body members ensured smooth functioning by meeting at least four times annually at the Trust’s office.

  • SSCT celebrated numerous significant annual events, such as Shri Rama Navami, Tamil New Year’s Day, World Environment Day, Ramzan, International Yoga Day, Independence Day, Gokulashtami (Krishna Jayanthi), Ganesh Chathurthi, Mahakavi Shri Subramanya Bharathiyar's Birth Anniversary, Navaratri Festival, Gandhi Jayanthi, Children’s Day, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's Birthday, Deepavali, Christmas, Bhagwan Shri Ramana Maharishi Jayanthi, Hanuman Jayanthi, Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi, Thiruvalluvar Day, Republic Day, SSCT Annual Day, International Women’s Day, and the New-Joiner / Fresher’s Day.

  • Birthdays and Marriage Anniversaries are cherished occasions. Many well-wishers celebrate these by distributing sweets or food to our Tuition-Center students. We are grateful for their kindness and generosity.

  • In the last two years, due to the pandemic and logistical issues, few excursions were organized. However, in 2021-22, we visited KR Engineering College and National Engineering College in Kovilpatti, where students had meaningful interactions with staff. These aspirational trips encourage students to strive for academic excellence. During excursions, we follow stringent safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both students and staff. Additionally, we visited Kathirvel Murugan Temple, Thanigachalamoorthy Temple, and the stadium in Kovilpatti. On our return, we stopped at Sankaran Kovil for a visit to the Veeriruppu Buddha Temple.

  • Our Annual Notebook and Dress Distribution events are well-received. Donors and well-wishers contribute notebooks and stationery for students and dress materials for senior citizens, the physically challenged, spinal cord injury patients, and destitute women.

  • Our service users received dress materials from respected individuals like Dr. K. Murugaiah of Mahalaskhmi Nursing Home, Mr. R. Krishnaraj IPS, Superintendent of Police – Tenkasi District, and Dr. Vijayalakshmi, President of Exnora – Tenkasi District, among others.

  • Our well-wishers often celebrate family events such as weddings, anniversaries, or other milestones by organizing special meals for our students. In memory of their loved ones, donors also request similar arrangements.

  • As part of our Monthly Cultural Activities, SSCT organizes Bhajans and Upanyasams to introduce art, culture, and traditions to children and staff. Thevaram and Thiruvasagam recitals also foster cultural bonding and promote long-term societal values.

  • SSCT holds Monthly Personality Development and Motivational Programs for students and staff. Notable sessions in 2021-22 and 2022-23 were conducted by figures like Shri K. Ravichandran from Anugraha Spinal Injured Home and Shri S. R. Thyagarajan from Chennai.

  • The time and support from well-wishers, whether financial or through participation in our activities, are invaluable to our mission of "Sewa Parmo Dharma."

  • Please visit our Donation page to support our tailored programs like SAMOOGHAM and ADITHALAM, which aim to extend our reach beyond Ayikudy and its neighboring villages.
